I’m taking it day by day…. one day at a time as they say in the 12 step programs.
Today is my fourth consecutive day without running. I’m anxious and jumpy and feel the need to get off my fat a$$ and do something. Thank goodness for the Wii.
I started running in August and slowly built up my weekly mileage to 26 miles a week. The following week I broke the 10% rule and increased my mileage by more than 20%. This seems to have caused some knee issues. I and a running buddy diagnosed it as Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome (Runner’s Knee). This was later confirmed by a Doctor.
This is my third week trying to rehab the knee… the first two weeks I didn’t take enough time off and re-aggravated the knee so this time I’m going a full week without running. I also have a stretching and strengthening program (which is helping a bunch) from a friend who is a…

I’m feeling great today but… I’m not going to run until Sunday… at the earliest…..
